brazilian hair straightening
I was all excited to get this done, but then i did some research on the web and got scared.
it said the formaldehyde is dangerous because you are breathing it in and it is going into your lungs.
It also said that the person administering it should be wearing a gas mask , because they shouldn't be exposed to such chemicals over a long time.
What were your experiences ? do they all contain formaldehyde ?
TIA

Re: brazilian hair straightening
Ihaven't done it, but I spoke to my hairdresser about it.
Those precautions are accurate. The technician does need to wear a face mask. The room also has to be well ventilated.
My hairdresser advised me that they know very little about the long term health affects of breathing in those chemicals, and would not recommend it. It may be better on your hair than JHS, but it is probably worse for the rest of you.
