we argued and are arguing alot but we also need to name after ppl in our familes using the initals bc the names in our families are extremely Eastern European.....

It was not easy. I had a list of names I wanted and he vetoed every name. I really wanted to name our son my grandfathers first name and his grandfathers middle name. He vetoed that because he wasnt a fan of the name I chose and their are too many people in his family that are named after his grandfather already and figures any new babies that come into the family will most likely be named after his grandfather (which he was right on. His cousin had a baby boy in February and he was named after his grandfather)

So I just gave up on names and whatever name he came up with as long as it wasnt Baby It or Shmooey was fine with me. The name just came to him one day while he was at work and I really do like it

We didn't really have a "discussion." We wanted the baby to have family names. If he was a boy - and he was - he was going to be named after both of our grandfathers. If she was a girl, she would be named after both of our grandmothers. I am Greek and the baby will be baptized in the Greek Orthodox church so we had to give the baby religious names recognized by the church anyway.

Well, we have had our girls name picked out for a while.

The middle name I have always loved and wanted to use. My orthodontist's daughter (from when I was like 10) had the name, and I always thought it was so pretty. It's become quite popular though-- so we are using it as a middle name.

For the boys, we looked at certain letters and I just ran through them all-- yelling good ones out to DH until we found one we both liked.

I have them all laid out in a Word doc of course... Then there is also the Hebrew names.
