Re: How much have you spent on maternity clothing?
I spent $200 on a pair of seven maternity jeans. That has been the only thing that I have purchased so far. I'm only 18 weeks and I want to spend my money on fall/winter clothes.

About $300, I'm trying to keep it as minimal as possible, since I won't be wearing the clothes that long.

So far I have spent about $600. I spent $150 at Mimi the other day on sale sweaters for my 3rd trimester, 300 bucks on 2 pairs of 7 jeans (SO WORTH IT!!!,) 50 on a pair of jeans from the Gap and about 100 bucks on a maternity dress (for a wedding) and top from Nordstrom. It's really not a lot of stuff for the money. Any tips on how you cut the cost of your maternity clothes?
Ok, personally $300 on 2 pairs of jeans is WAY TOO MUCH MONEY!! JMO
So far, I've spent $200. I've gotten A LOT for $240. $175 at Maternity Works in Tanger (about 4 pairs of pants, skirt, sweater, 2 dressy work tops and a nightgown) (Had gift cards which helped!!) $40 at Old Navy (2 tank tops, jeans, capris) $20 at Target (1 shirt)
I really can't afford to spend much more. Hopefully I can get through the whole pregnancy for $500!

Re: How much have you spent on maternity clothing?
What saved me the most money was the Tummy sleeve (or Bella Band) with my non-maternity pants!!!
I used it till week 33 - I was able to wear all my suits to work because of it.
It does sometimes roll down or slide up when you get up but it was totally worth getting it for me. I would recommend getting one and seeing how you like it.
There are cheaper alternatives than the Bella Band at Mimi Maternity. I used the equivalent which is called Tummy Tube. It costs $24.00. It's one size fits all.
Mimi Maternity Tummy Tube
Other ways that I saved money: some friends were kind enough to lend me their clothes without me having to ask, bought tops on sale at Motherhood, and also bought non-maternity empire style tops from Target.

Re: How much have you spent on maternity clothing?
I am happy to report that i have not yet bought one stitch of maternity clothes. I am 17 weeks and still fit into my clothes. some pants don't button all the way so i use a rubber band and it works just fine. i am just trying to make do. maternity pants seem too big for me right now. i am going to hold out a little longer. and then i plan to go to old navy and buy stuff from their maternity section.

Upwards of 600.00 so far and I'm 13 weeks.
ETA: Let's change that number to 800.00 as of today.

Re: How much have you spent on maternity clothing?
hrmm... I guess around 250-300 in all or less (probably less)
I know once I spent $150 at the maternity outlet at the source (great deals) The next time I think I spent around $100
I officially refuse to spend any more money!
I had my hubby go pick out some shirts at Aeropostale cause I fit into this clothes.. and this way he can use them later.
I always wore large tshirts at home so those are getting use.. otherwise I am suffering through 4 pair of pants and more long sleeves that I'd like to admit (I was preggo when it was still cold) but I REFUSE to waste more money on my last month and a half!

I saw them at pea in a pod. I can't bring myself to spend more money on maternity jeans than I do on regular jeans. Even the mimi maternity ones are on the expensive side. sigh.

Try Destination Motherhood. They have a nice selection of nice looking jeans that cost $30 or so. Also, Macy's carries a small section of maternity (I forget which brand) that has jeans that cost around $30.
I bought a load of jeans/shorts at Pea in Pod, b/c there is a cheaper section in there (forget which name it is though, could be motherhood maternity). Same jeans I also found in Macy's and Destination Motherhood as I said above.

Re: How much have you spent on maternity clothing?
Thankfully I work in a school in California where everyone wears jeans everyday. So I think I spent about 300 the last pregnancy and that included a bathing suit, a dress for a wedding, a couple of dressy outfits for a work event of DH's. I also got a lot of clothes from friends since they were all done having kids.
This pregnancy is pretty much around the same time of year as the last one and I still have the dressy outfits so I don't need anything like that. I have a couple of pairs of jeans and capri's I love also. I think I may invest in a pair of really nice jeans though since I wear them pretty much every day.
