What is the difference in roll panel and full panel?
I am only 4.5 weeks and I am bloated so as I sit here at work, I am dreaming of my stretchy pj pants since my pants are digging into my waist.
That made me think of maternity pants and I went searching online and some say roll panel and some say full panel... what's the difference?

full panel come up higher
some come up almost to where your bra ends LOL
but they are SOOO comfy

You can roll the full panel down. I have found right now that the full panel ones are too big. The ones that go below the belly fit me really well. However, I have been told that as you get bigger, the full panel ones are much more comfortable.
The stuff I am buying right now is summer stuff, so I won't be wearing it anyway when it gets cooler out and I am huge.
ETA: you might want to try a belly band - you can wear it with your regular clothes unbuttoned. I got use out of until about a week or two ago when the maternity stuff was huge but it was uncomfortable for me to be in my regular pants.

I prefer the full panel but I got pretty big pretty fast. That said half of my pants are roll panel and I have no problem with them. I'd start out slow. Maybe get one pair of each and see what works best for you.

i agree with this - when it's time, i would buy the secret fit belly pants from motherhood and mimi maternity. they are sooooooooooooooooo comfy, the panel is thin so they don't cut into your tummy, and they grow with you - i have been wearing them since about 16 weeks and they still fit me at 32+ weeks! they aren't getting small on me now, either, so hopefully they will grow with me until the end!

I prefer the higher full panel ones. But they are very warm in this weather if you keep it pulled up. So I do fold it down, but it does get sloppy and you have to keep fixing the fold.

I love the secret fit pants too!
In the beginning I bought a few very cheap pairs of pants just to get me through the first trimester. I also bought the Bella Band at about 9 weeks, which helped me stay in my regular pants for a while. You can also get away with elastic band pants or skirts. Dresses are a good alternative too when your pants feel tight.
