If you use Essie polish
on your toe nails (or i guess fingernails also), do you notice that it's much harder to remove it all with nail polish remover???
it's such a PITA! I wonder if there's a secret to getting it to come off easier? Anyone else notice this?

Re: If you use Essie polish
It does seem to stay on when I am trying to take it off! The dark colors are really hard to entirely remove. I have no hints though...sorry!

Re: If you use Essie polish
use straight acetone to remove it. polish removers with lotions or scents sometimes make removal take longer.
def use a cotton ball - no tissues or paper towels. start at the base of your nail and apply a frim pressure as you move toward the tip of the nail. it should come off with one or 2 swipes.
hth!

Re: If you use Essie polish
I try to keep the dark colors for the salon to remove. But what I do do is I put the remover on a cotton ball and hold the cotton ball to the nail for a few seconds. It makes it so much easier to then swipe and remove.

i wouldn't do this if you can avoid it - acetone will dry your nails out and make them more prone to breakage (and yes, i speak from experience )
i pretty much ONLY use essie nail polish and i have found a really great nail polish remover that works extremely well, it's a non-acetone anti-bacterial nail polish remover that i usually find at ULTA. i don't recall the name (and can't find it online) but i can look it up when i go home for you.

Re: If you use Essie polish
ok, i found it: it's called Polish Off by Calico, it's anti-bacterial and non-acetone, but works just as fast and as well as an acetone nail polish remover.

Thank you!
thanks everyone. I've been using cutex polish remover and q tips (i dont like touching the cotton balls ) and i was starting to think that the nail polish remover i had was made out of plain water

Re: If you use Essie polish
I always use the polish remover where you dip your finger in the sponge - no mess, easy, fast - I have no patience to take my polish off with cotton balls, tissues, etc.
