Preggos having boys
A few things you should get now:
extra changing pad covers - peeing fountain style is like a sport with these lil guys
sterile gauze pads - at least 4 boxes - you'll need them to apply vaseline if you are having your son circed
veseline - see above, but every doc is diff so go with what your ped reccomends
keep wash clothes at the changing table to contain fountain peeing
i'll add more as i think of it

Thank you for posting this. I have a girl, but haven't thought about the differences and therefore the stuff I would need since I am having a boy this time! I know I'll need to stay on my toes with the diaper changing; DD made it all too easy.

I just kept a box of tissues next to the changing table...that worked fine for me.
I also precut a bunch of gauze pads and had them at the changing table for the circumcision.

I never used gauze, just my finger.
One thing you should know having a boy is that if he is circumsized, whenever you apply the vaseline - kind of pull the skin down (the shaft skin) so it doesn't stick to the head. This happened to my son (and I've heard of it often happening) and he had to have it seperated . It's something the hospital or the dr never told us.

I have that! I loved it with my DS because I got peed on more times than I'd like to count. We got that, and stuck it on his wee-wee during changes, and no more peeing on mommy! I reccomend!

The same thing happened to Jared too. The doctor had to seperate the skin because it started to fuse together. The only reason I used the gauze was to make sure his little peesh didn't stick to the diaper.

I don't think that would have worked with my son - I justed used a wash cloth - which was perfect!!!!
They move around so much, I just don't think it would stay on

DH showed me how to put a wipe on it when we would change him- it was cold enough to shock the little doo dad to not make pee pee!!
Don't forget the mysterious wet spot that will suddenly emerge on 's back every time he takes a leak!!!!
