Black Tie Invited?
DH and I have a wedding in September at a winery in Ashland Oregon. I know that the ceremony is outdoors.
We got the invitation and it says "Black Tie Invited". Is that the same as Black Tie?
I've never been to a wedding outside of NY. Does it mean that DH wears a tux and I wear a long gown?

Re: Black Tie Invited?
means the same as black tie optional...
so you can get away with wearing a black cocktail dress (more on the fancier side, but def. not LONG) - and DH could wear a suit.

Re: Black Tie Invited?
it means that the men who own tuxes arre invited wear theris -probably 5-10% of the guests - its really geared at the men
as for you ,you can wear a long evening dress or short cocktail dress.
but its up to you!!! whatever you are comfortable in.
