I did it through teachonline. One suggestion though...make sure when you apply, you put all of your information down.
I guess when I applied, I missed the part about work experience. Months later, I got a letter from NYS telling me that I didn't get perm cert yet b/c I did not have 2 yrs. work experience which I definitely did, I just didn't see the place on the site to put it.
Eventually, I went back in, updated my info and then called (and waited forever) to speak to someone who was able to update my file to finally get perm cert.
