ovarian cysts
just some questions regarding ovarian cysts..
when i had my follow up from the MC i had a cyst that they said was normal.
i havent been back since, but i am having really bad pains , and pelvic pressure.. it hurts just to even touch my abdomen.
now i though this was all related to AF but i dont think so anymore,, especially being that AF is already gone!
do you think that it might have burst? or do these symptoms mean that it got bigger??
help please!!
i wish i knew what was going on with my body right now

i have cysts too hon and yes - the pain could be them bursting....
i also get very bad pain when i ovulate because of them....yesterday was bad - i took 2 advil because of the pain.

crashing- but I've only had one and when it burst, I was in excrutiating pain, like I had my roomate take me to the emergency room pain. Once there they did an ultrasound and found it had already burst. I'm sorry you're in pain.  I'm trying to remember if they gave me anything, but I don't think they did....it was years ago so I don't remember.

i have cysts and i was told the pain was from thing bursting. they suuck and hurt really bad!!

Yeah, it sounds like they are bursting. I wouldn't take advil for the pain bc it's more of a muscle relaxer. I would take tylenol instead and go rest awhile.

Hi Deanna! 
I've been offline for a bit & just saw this. How's the pain been? I've had 2 kinds of cysts before - both of my ovaries usually have multiple small cysts on them from my PCOS, but I also had the larger kind once before.
The pressure & the pain that you're having reminds me of when I had the larger one. It grew to be a bit larger than a tennis ball & the daily pain & pressure continued to get worse. My RE at the time told me that the pain & pressure was due to the cyst's shifting my internal organs...in other words, it was so big that it had to move things to "fit" (ETA: It sounds way worse than it is!) In the end we wound up treating it with BCPs & hormones in an effort to shrink it "naturally" & it took a few weeks, but the pain gradually subsided & we managed to do it before it had a chance to burst. Normally the doc would have surgically removed it, but I had had surgery (an operative hysteroscopy & d&c) 1 month prior & she didn't want to put me under anesthesia so soon afterwards...
In any event (sorry for the book!!!), my point is that I would recommend calling your OB if the pain doesn't go away after AF officially leaves town. He/She can do an internal examination & a sono to check on the size of your cyst to see if it's grown. If it has, you'll have a few treatment options & you can determine which best suits your needs...and I'm guessing that it wouldn't be the slooooow BCP process!

well i am going to the doctor tomorrow about this.. he said that the pain could be from my weird AF cycles.. but he is going to follow up anyway..
but the pain is completely gone, and it lasted for about a couple days i would say.. 2 really bad days.. then just sore after that.
so i dont know what happened to me at the time, but im really anxious!! and hope that its nothing or something i dont have to worry about
