So what does kicking feel like?!
I went to my 12-wk appt. today and my doctor asked if I have felt any kicking. She said it can start as early as 12 weeks. So what does it feel like ladies?

12 weeks is really early to feel anything especially if this is your first. You will know kicking when you feel it........it's unmistakable!! I didn't feel any movement until 19 weeks and at that time it only felt like bubbles or a nervous stomach. At 20 weeks I started feeling more thumps and it got stronger from there. At almost 28 weeks the baby is non-stop in there Trust me.........you will totally know when you feel kicking/punching.

that's really early! i didn't feel anything until much much later...can't remember when but it felt like popping internally.
when the baby gets big enough you can't mistake a kick for anything else. at this point (40 weeks) when DS kicks i yell because it hurts!

12 weeks is super early.
Kicking to me always felt like nudging...like if you were to take your knuckle and gently nudge your belly w/very little pressure.
eta: i never had a painful kick/nudge!

I felt like I had pop rocks candy exploding in my stomach a couple of times in the very beginning. That was at about 19-20 weeks. Now, at 23 weeks, it feels kind of like I had bad Mexican... like some crazy gurgling going on! And I have just started to feel a few real kicks though.

For me at first, it felt kind of like popcorn popping in my belly- but that started around 17-18 weeks. By 25 weeks, I started to feel tiny kicks- kind of like what one of the previous posters here described- tiny nudges. Now at 33 weeks, its a totally different feeling altogether. It feels like there is a baby living inside me and stretching his arms & legs out. I can actually see my stomach move in waves. Its amazing.

its hard to describe, you just feel movement. I didnt start feeling anything until 16 weeks , and it wasnt every day, maybe every couple of days
