Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
I don't think I have to register with the hospital. I think my doctor's office does that for me. You should check with yours.
I have not finished the nursery either. Our furniture hasn't even been delivered yet!

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
First let me say.......I am TOTALLY anal and I need everything organized and ready to go way in advance for me to relax. That being said I am due on Sept. 25th.
1) Wed. the new carpet is being installed in the baby room so once that goes in the baby room in completely finished and ready for the furniture.
2) We just ordered all of the furniture this past Sat. so that should be here sometime in early to mid-Aug.
3) I registered with the hospital already only because my OB gave me the form months ago so I just sent it in right away.
4) We signed up for Lamaze, Infant/Child CPR, and a Breastfeeding class for July.
I do have to check out pediatricians. That is on my list of things to do for this month. Other than that I can't think of much else that I need to do except wait for my shower. And knowing me, by the end of that day I will have all the clothes washed, the baby stuff put together, and everything ready to go because I am nuts!!

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
Ok So I'm another Mommy to be who has been super organized, so I can relax all summer. Due the 26th...
Nursery is painted and furniture is already set up.
the gifts that we have gotten, are already put together and placed where they will go when baby arrives.
I haven't registered with the hospital yet, b/c I think my OB's office does that for me...but I will ask next week when i go to double check.
We start parenting/birthing classes the first week in august.
Didn't interview a ped yet, but I do have one in mind...I'll probably call in a few weeks to set up an appt.

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
Nursery furniture is still not here yet so I cannotfinish decorating until it arrives but everything is bought and ready to be placed on the walls...we painted months ago....
I am taking my OB/GYN's recommendation on the pediatrician and my best friend goes to to same office and is very happy with them...
Thanks to my lovely shower, we received every single item we will need down to the onesies, books, CDs, diapers, etc...
I am starting to get really tired and feel heavier so I plan to take it easy from now on....
All in all I think I am on track...I will probably get the hospital bag ready in a few weeks and thats it!!!

I havent registered with the hospital yet either
I did make my appointment for my 3D which I am doing next week
Sorted through some stuff in the nursery. Going to BRU this weekend to pick up some stuff.
My aunt sent me a huge package of goodies and included 2 nightgowns and slippers for me so I put those in my bag that is my hospital bag. Thats about all I have in that bag.

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
Well this is baby number 2 for me and since we did a neutral nursery the first time around I'm not changing it at all, just adding a few boy colored things in there. I have already moved all of my daughters things out of there.
I need to wash all the linens and his clothes.
Good reminder to register with hospital, I got the letter but forgot to do it.
I need to sign up with cryo-cell so I have the cord blood kit.
I need to get a few things for breastfeeding but other then that I think I'm good for now.
Good luck ladies!

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
I have not done anything really.
1) Have to send my hospital registration papers in.
2) Have to buy the stuff I will need (diapers, wipes, bottels) I dont think I will be having a baby shower.
3) Wont be able to get her room ready b/c we are in teh process of moving and I dont know when we are moving into our newly built home. right now we are living in one of our investment homes so DD will sleep in the plack n play bassinet part in DH and I's room.
4) Have to get her some clothes although I think my mom is going to be helping me out with most of that.
5) Have to have my hospital bag packed by the last week in August.
I am just so not prepared for this baby like with my last. But I cant wait until she gets here I am gettign excited.

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
Since DD#2 is getting Hayley's room I don't have to worry about the nursery but I do have to move Hayley out and into her new room. We are going to start painting that after 4th of July weekend.
Once I get her into her new rrom then I can unpack all the clothes I had from Hayley, need to buy new nipples for the bottles I have, buy the double stroller
Oh yeah...and pick a name for DD#2

Re: Hey Septmeber Mommies-to-be
You are not alone. I am getting so anxious about this whole process because DH seems to think we have all the time in the world.
We have NOT started the baby's room (this has been a sore subject between DH and I because he wants to wait till August...yeah....I'm due Sept 5th). And, we have NOT begun to meet with pediatricians.
We registered with the hospital when I first found out I was pregnant. This was at the request of my OBGYN.
We have an all day lamaze class on July 13th.
We bought the furniture and picked it up 2 weeks ago but it is sitting in the garage b/c the room hasn't been started yet.
I just called the insurance company tonight to find out how much my co-pay will be and see how long they will allow me to stay in the hospital.
