chemical pregnancy
anyone ever experience this? i went to the dr, he told me i had a faint line on the pregnancy test...so he needed to take blood to confirm if its a pregnancy or not...i came home and took 3 tests all 3 were negative... someone told me this could be a chemical pregnancy or i am pregnant but its very early and may not have enough of the HCG hormone...im so confused!

Re: chemical pregnancy
Those two options sound viable.
A chemical pregnancy is when the egg is fertilized by sperm, but for some reason (the egg or sperm wasn't viable perhaps) the pregnancy ends right around the time of your period. It's really common but most people never know it's happening because their period is barely late and they never took a pregnancy test. Basically, only people who take preg tests early on would ever know they were pregnant. It doesn't affect your chances for a future viable pregnancy.
As for the HCG levels, once a fertilzed egg implants itself in the uterus (usually about 5-10 days after you ovulate), your body produces HCG. At first it's a tiny amount, and home pregnancy tests can't pick it up, but the amount doubles every day, and once there is sufficient HCG, the HPTs can pick it up.
HOpe that helps! good luck and keep us posted!
