A friend of mine went through something similar after she was diagnosed with an incompetent cervix. She had her cervix sewn also and was taken off of bedrest because it appeared to have worked for her. She has to take it VERY easy now.
Try to relax and take it easy. Do exactly as the dr says and try to you keep that little on in there while she grows nice and strong! My prayers are with you guys!
My BFF went thru the exact same thing at 19 weeks. Her gorgeous baby girl was born 10 days early.
She was on strict bedrest too: no getting up to make meals or walk around- she lived on the couch. You only get up to pee and she took a shower every other day. She went to her doctor once per week. She also had the steroids at 24 weeks. And at 36 weeks her stitch was taken out. Please know that though it will be hard, you can do this!!
She went a little stir crazy at times but me and her other friends visited her, her fiance made her meals for her and other people came by to check on her. The important thing is to really put yourself of STRICT BEDREST!!
ETA: My SIL went through this as well. The hardest part is being really strict and not moving around. As she put it, you really find out who your real friends are!
I'm sorry you have to go thru this. I know how tough this road has been for you. Keeping my fingers crossed your little one will make it into the world safely!
