Understanding all these "tests"
Could someone please explain to me what is the difference betweena Nuchal translucency test and an ultrascreen? What are they for? My Dr. told me to get the NT test but I haven't heard anything about an ultrascrren. SHould I ask for it? Thanks

They are the same thing - just called different things. My doc called it the first trimester screening - very confusing!  It essentially is an ultrasound that measures the fold in the back of the baby's neck combined with blood work that gives you a risk number for down syndrome and trisomy.
