is it bad...
that i only feed my cat dry food?  is there something i don't know about the benefits of wet food?

Actually, it supposed to be better to only feed them dry food.
If they eat wet food, there is nothing to clean their teeth so they can get rotten teeth early in life.

Dry food may be better for their teeth but they need the moisture in wet food. When you think of it, wet food is closer to what they would eat in nature.
I think it is best to feed them both to keep their diet balanced.

I agree, it is best to feed them both.
In the case with a male cat they can get urinary stones if they don't drink enogh water. Wet food helps to ensure they get liquid in their diet.
I heard this from my vet .

I don't think it's bad to feed your cat only dry food, as long as he/she gets plenty of water too.
Our two cats are spoiled though. They split 2 cans of wet food a day, have a full supply of dry food out, and we have a water dish with constant running water for them.

Then you should be ok.
Unfortunatley my kitty was not so lucky. He refuses to eat wet food and does not drink enough water... His own choice
He has stones and now has to eat special food.
