Ovulation question??

I usually get a dull pain on either my left or right side one day a month. Well, this month I got that pain around day 13 and then on day 26 I got another dull pain that turned into an intense pain that almost brought me to my knees. It only last for about 30 seconds. Could this of been ovulation?? Keep in mind that I have cycles that are around 36-38 days. Also, I have had sono's done a few times this year, and they never see any cysts.
Should I call the MD? Could it be a burst cyst?
Also, it was not implantation cramping since I have taking a pregancy test and it was a BFN.
Does anyone else get these intense pains around ovulation?

It could have been implantation, it takes a few days to get a BFP. If not could it have been a gas bubble?
