Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
I have never experienced any back pain before, but OMG.....it's killing me! I am so worried because I still have a long time to go! If your lower back became painful, what did you do to help it feel better? I cannot really feel better sitting or standing, so I am out of luck!!!

Re: Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
OHHHHHHH I am in the same boat--I feel your pain (literally!).
I've always had low back problems, so I knew this might be coming, but my sciatica started at my 10th week It's so bad that it actually wakes me out of a dead sleep, and I need to get up and walk for about 1/2 hour. It's been excruciating, especially right after I wake up.
I can tell you in the last week, I've been to my PCP for a muscle relaxer (didn't work), a chiropractor for an adjustment twice (I've always gone to a chiropractor, they work wonders for me), started physical therapy (so far not great) and even tried acupuncture (no relief so far, but a friend of mine told me I need to keep going).
For me, the most relief has come from chiropractic adjustments twice a week. If you've never tried chiropractic, you may want to look into it.
You said you can't get relief sitting OR standing. Which feels better? For me, standing is the way to go, so I try to do lots of walking or swimming. I always feel much better after I do.
Good luck, and feel better--I know how frustrating it is to deal with.

Re: Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
Mine started early as well, but just recently started to get worse...all I have done is to put heat on it (when I can find the time) and just walk around (even though it is painful sometimes) Feel better!

Re: Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
I'lso dealing with this. I have lower back pain on my right side and an awful tingling sensation in both of my legs especially at night. I started doing Yoga and that really helps. Just a few moves a night really loosens up my back, stretches my legs and opens up my hips.

Re: Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
Several times a day, I have pain that runs from my lower back/rear end through my thigh. It tends to happen either at night or if I'm sitting for a while and then get up. It eventually goes away. I wish I knew how to relieve the pain.

Re: Hello Sciatic nerve!!!
i had sciatic nerve pain early on in my pregnancy. my ob tried to give me something for it but it just made me sick (i took it once & never again) so i just dealth with the pain, applied lots of heat to it and rest alot. avoided standing/sitting for too long. i swear my dd was kicking that nerve on purpose.
