Premature question...

DH and I go back and forth on this- okay well, maybe it's more me than him. I'm trying like hell to find the right time to TTC. I'm a teacher so I guess my target is to have a baby in July next year (because June is so insane for me). I know, it's not an easy thing to do....

Anyone around here trying/tried/succeeded at timing this? Any advice? I'm on the pill so I'm trying to figure when I should go off of it to 'prepare' myself. I've been reading up and it seems like I should wait on TTC at least 3 months after I go off of it.

Man...I LOVE the pill...I love being able to predict my period, and it's so light. I will DEFINITELY miss it.

Any advice? Please forgive...I am SO new to this! I'm guessing we don't have an FAQ around? I see all the chat lingo and I'm LOST!

OMG...I used to avoid this board like crazy because the lingo was totally throwing me off...but you'll find you get used to it very quickly.

With regards to timing.... In the short period of time that I've been on here I've seen a lot of heartaches...woman who have been trying for multiple cycles. I don't know if it's really possible to time it...just go for it.


ETA: BTW...I saw your youtube video... Good luck in the contest...you have a great voice!

OMG NOW?! I am just about done with a pack so....holy crap I can't believe I'm doing this!!!

It takes some women 6 months to regulate after going off of the pill, so if it were me I would go off sooner rather than later.

Congrats and I wish you so much luck!!! But I have to tell you there is no formula for this babymaking business. You def have to regulate your period when getting off the pill, but I have to tell you, I've had friends who got pregnant the month after they got off the pill...I got pregnant 2 months after getting off, and I know girls who are still trying 1 year+.....I have to say....don't worry so much about the time the baby is going to be born...because even if it is due in july, it can come in june...if it really is not doable then try planning for anytime after june...but honestly just enjoy!!!! And go make yourself a baby!!! Everything else will work out, even if baby decides to come in June of all months...knowing my luck, that is what would happen to me if I tried to plan .. Anyway Congrats! And keep us informed!!!

Hey Tara!!!!

As your good friend here is my advice...........nothing with TTC goes according to plan and you can take it from me!! If you and Brett are ready for a baby then go for it and don't sweat the timing too much. I know it would be great if a baby came at just the perfect time in the school year BUT you never know how long it will take to get pregnant or what might happen along the way. Don't get hung up on the timing, just have at it and somehow you will figure everything else out when the time comes!! And on a selfish note.........get going on this girl so my baby has a NJ buddy!!!
