Re: Q-tip test.....
This is just an assumption but TMI warning...
I am assuming they are talking about using a Q-tip up your vaginal canal to "see" if AF is on its way since you usually can "test" to see if its coming about 12 hours before it does.
I am not sure however if this is what they mean

Yes, that's the basic idea. You put a Q-tip into your cervix to see if there is any blood or spotting coming down. It's not advised to do this though because the Q-tip could introduce infection since they aren't sterile, and if you are pregnant, shoving a Q-tip into your cervix isn't the best idea.
Here is a link to the thread where it was talked about Q-Tip Test

Re: Q-tip test.....
Definitely not for me. I do not think i would ever be that completely impatient that I would shove a q-tip up there just to see if it comes out pink. I will just wait it out the old fashioned way. Could you imagine getting an infection and explaining to the doc how you might have gotten that infection. Sorry if I sound condescending but this method is not for me.

I just assumed this what they meant- in no way do I condone it or say I have done it!

Re: Q-tip test.....
I posted this yesterday, but I just wanted to reiterate that this is NOT a good idea. Sticking anything into your cervix gives you a risk of infection, which can be detrimental to TTC and pregnancy.
