carpal tunnel

I got carpal tunnel syndrome at about 20 weeks and my dr. said that it was normal and just due to the excess water leaning on the nerves. Did anyone else get this and speak to your dr. about it? This will go away after we give birth, right??
Just wondering also if you have it, and if you have gained a lot of weight.... I am hoping that a lot of my weight gain is due to excess fluid... I had to stop wearing my rings a long time ago because my fingers were just too swollen.

I have it, and I haven't gained too much weight.

My SIL had it and she said hers went away soon after giving birth.

I had it bad with my first (i gained 50lbs) and it went away a couple of weeks after giving birth. I also have it with this PG but not as bad. So far I have gained 40lbs and assume I will be gaining the same amt as my first.

I only gained 3lbs when I was pregnant and I got this.

I think it was gone by a week or two pp.

I have it and got it at about 23 weeks. It is painful at times. I was using a night brace and it helped but it is still there.
I only gained 15lbs (I am 39.5 weeks now) dr. said it could go away from 2 days to 2 weeks after birth.

I had it when I was pregnant w/Hayley. It started around 15 weeks with my hands going numb at night and during they day they were tingly all the time. It went away about 2 or 3 weeks pp. I only gained about 20-25 pounds.

This time I started wearing my night brace early on. They still go tingly/numb at night but during they day they only go tingly if I put them in a bad position.
