Is there a more prego friendly product-- like Crystal Lite on the go?
Before I was pregnant-- I drank A TON of water... like so much water, it was insane.
Now that I am approaching my phase.. I am having a hard time downing water in the quantities I am used to, and in an amount which I think is sufficient for my "condition".
I am so sick of just drinking plain water also-- it's very hard to get down.
What else can I drink that doesn't have a ton of calories?? I don't like juice because it's too filling and has too many calories-- and it doesn't really go with many other meals than breakfast.

thanks-- I never use the whole packet either...
I think those might save me... I am having a Crystal Lite right now cause I need to just drink SOMETHING. I figured one couldn't hurt if it will help me drink more water. It's just ONE!

I use the K2O packets (protein water). I don't know about the protein part--it's never really helped to keep me from getting hungry--but the pink lemonade flavor is really good. That's pretty much the only way I can drink water nowadays.

When I was feeling nauseous I drank water with lemon. Did you try that? I also made fresh iced tea(from tea bags) and mix 1/4 of that with 3/4 water.

I hate water (I know it sounds weird) and I wish so much that I could have the crystal lite to go in my bottles of water. That is all I drank before I was pregnant.

I'm avoiding everything artificial...
I've been having 80% water + 20% exotic juice. I agree with you.. straight juice is WAY too caloric, sweet, and dense.... BUT, if you dilute it down, it becomes a rather yummy mildly flavored water.
Key for me is that it's not something boring like orange, apple, grape... I am adding passion fruit, cherry, blueberry, mixed berry, or black current into my water....
DH makes 2 liters for me every morning, and I drink it throughout the day

When I was pregnant with DD I had trouble with the plain water and found that if you took a juice that wasn't too sweet and mixed it with water (90-95% water and 5-10% juice it was enough to give it flavor without being too sweet - plain juice made me really nauseous - but that was enough to give the water flavor and not make me sick.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions...
I was using lemon in my water-- but that really only works at home-- same with the juice. I just need to make sure I have a supply of everything so I can mix.
The 4C ones I think are good for being "on the go".
I think it's so important to stay hydrated and I think not being able to drink a lot of water contributed a little to not feeling well.

I personally don't do any artificial sweeteners when pregnant so I add lemon and lots of ice to my water.

i am so glad i am not alone, ppl think i am nuts that i can not stand water anymore, i always drank plenty of it all the time and love it...
i did the squeezed lemon in my water for a couple weeks and got sick of that...
i ordered those k2o packs and will try them... been drinking propell or vita water stuff the past week.

Did you try the flavored seltzer water? That works for me and there is no sugar, sodium or calories.

Re: Is there a more prego friendly product-- like Crystal Lite on the go?
from what I read none of the crystal lite packets are good they have aspartamene so does a ton of gum the only one that is ok is the pre made crystal light in a bottle made with splenda. I have been drinking either plain water, selter water, low acid oj, lite cranberry juice and an occas soda.
