First visit w/ RE.......................
So I went to see Dr. Rosenfeld on Friday. He is an amazing person, so kind and answered every question that we had.......
We got some heartbreaking news...in addtion to my unicorniate uterus and the blocked tube, he thinks I am in the early stages of premature ovarian failure. He said these are unrealated.
IVF was our only option before seeing him and he said that if it is POV, than my eggs would not be usable....we would have to consider adopting an egg.
Does anyone have experience with POV? My husband and myself are unsure whether I can harvest eggs now and them be good before I am full blown into it.
He said that my body will go in and out of it until finally it stays in an active phase.
I am just sooo confused and devasted.................

I do not have POV but I do have a condition where I will have to use donor eggs.....I can commiserate with you. everything you are feeling (the hundreds of different things...or even just the plain numbness) is completely normal.
I am sorry for you and for what you and your husband are going through. But things will get better and becoem less confusing with time. and then when you have answers you will know what you have to do. Just focus on the big picture....

I have a friend who has POV and used donor egg.

I didn't have POV, but I did have a unicorniate uterus and I only have 1 tube to begin with. I was able to get PG on my 5th IUI using injectables.
I just wanted to send some hugs
