Is this dress OK for a wedding?
LINK to dress.... Sorry, I can't get the picture to post. Is this dress OK for a wedding with cute silver shoes? It's a night-time wedding, but with a fairly casual laid-back style (the wedding is at The Old Field Club).

Too casual and the colors and fabric (it's cotton) are just not for a night wedding. If you don't want to spend too much $$, I'd just get a simple black dress.

Re: Is this dress OK for a wedding?
I think it depends on the wedding and the couple. It would have been fine for our wedding. It was a day time affair but had it been an evening affair we wouldnt have done much differently. we went for laid back casual and fun.
I disagree that cotton is inofmral but if you're concerned look for one with a steen like sheen so it looks a little dressier. i gto a great dress from H&M-liek a plum shade in sateen cotton with a wide belt. Im planning on wearing it to a summer wedding but dressing it up with gold sandals and a chunky necklace.

For a casual laid back wedding at night this is perfect IMHO! With the right shoes, hair, makeup, and accessories it will be a great piece to dress up and down as needed! Buy it!!!!

Re: Is this dress OK for a wedding?
I ordered it! I figured if it's not "fancy" enough for a wedding, I can always wear it to my own rehersal dinner in Oct. or something... I would get use out of it no matter what

Re: Is this dress OK for a wedding?
I answered you via FM- One of the 07 brides from LIW got married there and all her guests from the pics, wore sundresses. Its not a marble and velvet place so the dress is perfectly appropriate. throw on some silver sandals and maybe some fun jelwery and you're good to go.
