EXTRA DRESSES UPDATE
I want to thank everyone who has offered to look for dresses or has something, anything for me to pick up.
I have so many FM's, I am totally overwhelmed, last night I spent 2 hours answering FM's and only made a dent in what I have...I tried to get back to a bunch of people, but my list keeps getting larger and larger.....and I feel awful, like people think I am ignoring them, which I am not, its just too much for me to handle...
I am starting this new post for one reason. Today, I was set to meet a few people to pick up donations and nobody showed up.  I had appts to meet three people and I came home empty handed :(
If possible, I would appreicate all donations of dresses, clothes, mens clothes, jewlery, $ and bags be sent to our offices.....if anyone lives close to me, Seaford, I will come pick up, hoping someone will be there to met me... :(
These girls are so excited and I feel like such a failure since today was a bust....
Here is our address again, if anyone can send your donations....if that isn't an option for you, please respond to this post and I will contact you with a pick up time..
Thank you everyone so much....We even got calls from tv networks to document the effect of LIF on my request.....and how amazing everyone here is and came to my aid.....This site is amazing....and i hope come JUne, there is one kick azz party as well as a documentary about how great the ladies of LIF are....

UPDATE AGAIN:
I am not sure I got back to everyone now, I am not sure who I did not get back to about arranging a pickup, I'm sorry about that...I didn't expect such support...if i have not gotten back to you about arranging for me to come pick up if you need me too or dropping them off for me, I ask that you fm me again quickly. I'm sorry about that, I just got swamped and lost track of who/when/where, etc. Thanks again.

I sent you FM when you posted that I have 5 dresses and a pair of shoes, I just never heard back so to be honest I thought you didn't want them anymore. I can drop them off to you in seaford whenever, just let me know, night time or saturday would be best.

This makes me sad .
I'm really sorry this happened to you.
I know how much this means to you and the girls in the program.
Please don't let this discourage you from continuing with the collections.
I'm sure the women on this site will come through.
Since it's the long weekend, you may see more responses on tuesday.

Someone suggested in the other post that you do a central drop off in Nassau and Suffolk. That would probably save you a lot of time. The weather is good so it could be like a saturday morning in the park. It would also make for good footage for the news stories. Lots of women holding up their pretty dresses-just a thought.

I am in NJ so I am unable to assist with a dress but I have a suggestion regarding the tuxedos... Have you reached out to any of the tuxedo rental places? They might be able to "donate" the rentals as a tax write off? It would be really great publicity for their shop...

My boss is speakign to his wife about his daughter's 2 prom dresses. I'd love to get those because they'd be in style for this year.
I also posted that I have some rhinestone jewelry (I"ll ask my sister for anything she has) & to kick in for decorations, hair, makeup, whatever you want.
For the guys shirts...how large do you need?

I am sorry this happened to you.
I would rather not send it as it is all pressed & ready to go. I don't drive but my DH works in Astoria. I know he has to go into Nassau county a few nights this week.....Wantagh on Tuesday & Plainvie on Thursday so maybe that would work for you.

my DH doesn't fit into alot of his stuff anymore- I will have him go thru his closet tomorrow and I will FM you
they will all be on the larger size- XXL and XL

Can you accept donations at the office on Pine Street? I have 1 or 2 dresses and it would probably be easier for me to shoot down there during lunch time one day this week to drop them off, rather than mail them. The only thing is that these dresses need to be pressed because they were folded in a bag ready to go to Goodwill.

The office is actually at 110 Wall Street, but Pine is our mailing address, just wanted to clarify that....or if anything, you come in on the LIRR, I can meet you at Penn in the am...
