ipod question
I am deciding if I should get an Ipod. I want something that can plug into my speakers in the living room- I don't want to buy another of their stupid products! Also must I use the headphones that are given with it? Can I use another pair or is the jack a special size?

I can DEFINITELY confirm the headphone jack is universal, you can use ANY brand you want, I've had 3 ipods so far and always change the headphones to Sonys (I detest the ones they include with the pod).
As to your speakers, I"m sorry I don't know if you can just plug them into the headphone jack???

i the itouch has a certain size head that won't allow you to plugg in any headphones... the plastic part must fit into a hole in order to use it...

I am deciding between the ipod (classic 80 gig 6th gen) and creative zen (i would get the 16 gig). I have read so many bad things about ipods and so many good things about creative zen. I like the space on the ipod, that way I could fit most my whole music collection on the ipod and there is no way I could fit my music on the creative zen. I have 20 gigs sitting on an old computer alone plus my CDs, which total about 1000. I want something that would hold my whole collection, but i want a good product in the $250 range. I just don't think Ipod has that.
I have to decide by today, b/c my mom can bring it from the US where it is so much cheaper than here, especially with the value of the dollar there. I am going to take a look at a store here today.

I have logitech speakers. Not the best, but this is a temporary living situation.
