I wear my hair up in a bandana...usually so I don't have to blow it out and it dries kinda tame.

sleep on it loose/flat. I have naturally pin straight hair so it dont matter. I also wash it every morning. I have used velcro rollers in the past when my hair was long and wanted more volume.
