For those who want to do a picnic...
(I'm not trying to start any drama, so please don't get offended-I know certain areas are a touchy subject)
should it be just us, or should we include our DHs/SOs and families? I was thinking it might be nice to include our DHs/SOs..... since I think our guys tend to bottle a lot up b/c they're so busy worrying about us... I thought it might be a good outlet for them to talk freely, since we're all going thru similar things- with the same goal in mind. Does anyone think that's a good idea, or would you rather it just be us? Please be honest. Keep in mind if we include our DHs/SOs that any of the people on here who have children already should bring them, as both of their parents would be there. (unless they're prefer an afternoon out w/ the grownups- lol!)
It wouldn't even be an issue, but I know we're an IF board, and that we have to be sensitive to that. If you'd prefer to FM me, please do- I want to figure out who would like to come, where they're coming from, and if they have any suggestions as to where we might do this. Then we'll set up a poll w/ a few dates once we pick a place! TIA!!!
ETA: I did a quick search and found these parks:
Suffolk County Parks
If you want to host a group event for 10 or more people at a Suffolk County park, you will have to make a reservation. Contact the Parks Administration Office at (631) 854-4951 for permit and fees. The following Suffolk County parks have picnic areas.
Blydenburgh (Smithtown) Southaven (Brookhaven) Indian Island (Riverhead) West Hills (Huntington) Cedar Point Park (East Hampton) Theodore Roosevelt (Montauk) Sears Bellows (Hampton Bays)

Honestly either way works for me but I cant see my DH coming. He's very sensitive about all this stuff b/c we're deling with male IF. But even if he doesnt come I'll still go. Who wants to be my date????

I am for either way. My DH would probably go if he knew other guys would be there. But I don't think he'd want to talk about the IF stuff.
And I don't mind kids at all.

LOL! I think if I said to my husband we were going to a luncheon about IF that he'd say no thanks, but if I told him we were going to have a picnic w/ my LIF IF friends and their spouses/SOs, he'd go...

Re: For those who want to do a picnic...
My DH would not go. He would just not be into it. Nor would he talk about it. Though always odd when he talks to our clients (who have been or are going through this right now) about IF. But, i bet he talks more about me going through all of it than what he's thinking about. Plus, DH works all weekend (he's the sales person, I just count it up). We're in Landscape on the east end and our clients are only out on weekends (as its their 2nd home-must be nice).
I'd go anyway. I was single for years and years and used to doing my own thing.
