I can't believe I did this!
We are having about 15 people over for Mother's Day (my family and my IL's). My mom bought about $60 worth of steaks and other meats that we were going to grill. I picked them up from her house last night- they were frozen. I put the whole package of frozen meat in my trunk and drive the 40 minutes back home. I pulled into my driveway, got out of my car and went inside for the night.
About halfway through the day today, I had an OH SH!T moment. Yeah - I left all the meat in my trunk overnight and for the better part of the day today. 
I can't even complain to my mom because she'll just yell at me for being a dumbazz and I don't want to hear it from her. 
So now I have to go out and buy the meat to make up for the stuff that I ruined.

That sucks! You are human though, we all make mistakes.
Not to make light of your situation, wasting $ and food sucks!...but let's just say people have left far more precious things in the car that ended up with horrible consequences. Just trying to console you, at least it was only food...hope that makes you feel better maybe?
