Does anyone want to have a picnic?
I'm seriously getting spring fever!!! I know we were supposed to GTG to do some jewelry, but w/ the craziness of the past couple of weeks, I forgot to order the charms, along w/ a couple of other things needed.  Sorry.  We'll still definitely plan on doing it in the future though!!! 
But I was thinking, it's such a nice day out today that we could plan for a picnic in the next couple of weeks, and maybe we could each make something... plus if anyone has one of those portable grills we could make some hot dogs/hamburgers... anyone up for it?
I was thinking maybe Southaven Park or some other park that's somewhat close for everyone. Please let me know if you are, and if so where you're coming from so we can pick a good central meeting point. 
ETA: I'm coming from the North Fork, which I know is a trip for a lot of you, which is why i suggested southaven park--- it's the only park I know of up the island... plus there is Indian Island in Riverhead but again, that might be too far east...

Thats a great idea! Where is Southaven Park? I know that there is a picnic area with charcol bbq's at Sunken Meadow Park.

I'm game, but I've never heard of Southaven Park (LI born too).
OK, the only reason I would not make it is if I'm doing my IVF ER/ET. Which obviously I don't need to explain that to this group. I expect it to happen in 3 weeks. So, if it's in two weeks I can make it. Nice idea, thanks!

Southaven park is right off sunrise highway and yaphank avenue. It's not far from Suffolk County Police Department's station, just south actually. If I had to make a guess, I'd say it's around exit 58 on sunrise highway...
Where is sunken meadow? I'm game for anywhere---- Southaven park was the only one I could think of off the top of my head.
