I haven't really been on LIF too much lately, but I do remember seeing that you posted that you were having some genetic issues with your baby. I just wanted to offer my support, and short story of what happened to me.
I was pg in '04, and received a + AFP test. When my amniotic fluid began leaking at 16 weeks, and after getting an infection, I pretty much had no choice but to terminate that pg. I know this has absolultey nothing to do with your pg, but I just wanted to point out that we did a pathology on the fetus, and there were NO genetic abnormalities whatsoever. We didn't get around to doing any other testing since it happened so early on, but in my heart, I knew I had received a false + AFP & that nothing was wrong with that baby... and the pathology proved that.
If you believe in your heart that nothing is wrong, then please remain at peace with whatever the doctors want to test to ease their minds, because in the long run, they'll still be baffled when the baby is 100%, despite their cautions.

I know that I am a stranger- but I am praying for you, your husband, and this precious baby.
I know in my heart that this baby is healthy and is going to be showered with lots of love from two very nice parents.
My SIL went through two false positive nightmares from that stupid AFP (after having great ultrascreens). My nieces are both perfectly healthy.
