Re: Lost
Using a roller-coaster as a metaphor, this week's episode and possibly next week's can be see as a slow ascent to the highest point of the ride. Sure, it's not as exciting, but the anticipation of what's to come is half the fun. The producers said we will see how the Oceanic 6 make it off by the end of season 4, and they'll also show and explain the Orchid station that they hinted at in a teaser clip shown last summer. If the producers are true to their word, the rest of the season should answer some big questions.

I LOVE how Sawyer issued an order of protection! I thought it was so cute how he was so protective of Claire.

OK- something to think about.
Did this flashforward las night come BEFORE the one at the end of season 4.
Now people here have discussed Jack's downward spiral. But at the end of last season (the first flash-forward), Jack was already a drunk.
So is it possible that jack and kate were together/engaged/married with Aaron, and then because of his drinking, they separated. And then out of the blue he called Kate and Kate met Jack- and had to get back to "Him" (Aaron/Sawyer/anyone) And when he said we have to go back to the island, it was after last night's flashback.
This is exactly how I think the sequence of events occurs.

Re: Lost
I think the flash-forward time line (in total) may be as follows:
1. Sun having a daughter 2. Ben tracking down Sayid and Widmore 3. Sayid going on missions for ben 4. Hurley getting sent to an mental institution 5. Kate having her trial 6. Jack and Kate together 7. Jack going off the deep end with alcohol/pills/facial hair
The Sayid missions could technically be at any point after meeting Ben, so there is no actual placement for that. I also believe it's 2007 by the time we get to the Jack/Kate engagement based on the info that the Yankees swept the Sox. They did this in 2006 and in 2007, but the score mentioned 5 - 0, which occurred in 2007.

This makes a lot of sense.
SOOOOOO is Jack's father alive when they leave the island??
OK- so in #7 (the season finale last season), Jack makes two mentions of his father. One in the flashfoward when he says his dad wrote a prescription, and one when he meetswith the woman in the hospital and tells her to call his father and get him down there.
hmmmmmmmm?

All of that actually makes sense, plus aaron looks to be about 2 or 3. I hope they continue with the flash forwards to when the show ends because if they are going 3 years ahead of the crash they have a lot of explaining to do.

Re: Lost
I agree this flashback is before the one that the end of last season.
I think Jack refers to his father two times in that episode because he sees him regularly (like hurley sees charlie) and the people around him think he is just hallucinating. I bet he takes the pills so he doesnt see his father.
