Are expensive sunglasses worth it?
I posted this on the fashion forum also.
I always buy $10 sunglasses, beat them up, break off an arm, then buy a new pair 3 months later. I was in the mall today and tried on some fancy brand ones. I found a pair of Burberry sunglasses that I think I like. They cost $190 and are one of the cheaper ones. I came home and saw them online for $150 with S&H from various websites and E-Bay.
So, are these glasses just as breakable as my cheap ones and I'll just take better care of them because of the price? I'm a little apprehensive about buying online since they could be $10 knock offs and I'll feel like a fool for spending $150.

BTW, I love my expensive glasses and have had them for almost 4 years. Then again, I had prescription lenses put in so they have already paid for themselves. Good Luck!

I never buy expensive glasses- ever. I think the most I've spent was about $60. They are always breaking, or DH ends up sitting on them somehow... The lenses crack, I throw them around the house, my car etc....
However, I think that if you do spend alot of $$ on a more expensive pair, that will give you a reason to take extra care of them which will make them last longer.

I always buy expensive sunglasses. One of my guilty pleasures. BUT I take VERY good care of them. I think that if I didn't, I wouldn't bother investing $$ in a good pair and would probably just buy the $10 pair.

i never do, because no matter how hard i try i lose them. As a matter a fact, the more expensive glasses, the faster i lose them.
i don't know how it happens.
