Are expensive sunglasses worth it?

I always buy $10 sunglasses, beat them up, break off an arm, then buy a new pair 3 months later. I was in the mall today and tried on some fancy brand ones. I found a pair of Burberry sunglasses that I think I like. They cost $190 and are one of the cheaper ones. I came home and saw them online for $150 with S&H from various websites and E-Bay.
So, are these glasses just as breakable as my cheap ones and I'll just take better care because of the price? I'm a little apprehensive about buying online since they could be $10 knock offs and I'll feel like a fool for spending $150.

The only type of expensive sunglasses I spend money on are polarized. Good polarized lenses are well worth the money.

funny..i was just having this conversation with someone. i used to do the same thing.. buy an ok pair that i dont loove from tj maxx or marshalls, wear them for a bit, break them or lose them and then go out and buy another cheapo pair. finally decided that all these cheapos add up to one nice pair. so i bought a pair of coach sunglasses (from century 21 for $70!!) and ive been wearing them for over a year... sooo long story short.. lol.. definitely worth it to but the nice pair.. i take good care of them bc i know they were $$ and bc i love them :)

i bought a pair of Chanel sunglasses two years ago and I love them. The lenses are great quality and I take such good care of them because they were so pricey

I think they are a good investment and make any outfit special.

I'm on my 2nd pair of Chanels and love them!

I do.....When I have an expensive pair . I take better car of them.

I have Gucci now ans love them

I think they are worth it. I find that I take much more caution with my expensive sunglasses knowing how much I paid for them rather than the cheaper glasses. I also think the more expensive/designer glasses just look better too!

Honestly, for me, no. I have a pair of DKNY from Macy's that cost prob. 30 bucks and I've had them for years. I just make sure to keep them in a case when I'm not using them jut like my regular glasses.

For my bday I got gift cards and some cash, I used them at Nordstroms to buy Coach sunglasses.

I've never bought a very expensive pair before and never really wanted them, but now that I have them, I am in love.

They are great quality and I wear sunglasses a ton. I would buy a nice pair again, because now, I know I HAVE to take care of them.
