Help Resume related

I am typing a resume for a promotion and need help with the Objective part. It is for a police department corporal position. I need help. What to write? Please..

I don't use Objective on my resume. I thought that was a "thing" of the past now or unless you are fresh out of college.

You could replace the objective with a "Profile" or "Summary of Qualifications," which is more appropriate for someone with work experience, for instance "Criminal justice professional with xx years experience supervising law enforcement officers, managing community relations efforts, and maintaining crime statistics." Or something like that.
