Did anyone
not use a bassinet and start the baby right in their crib? My mom did this with me and my sister and swears by it. I was just curious as to how many mommies did this. TIA!

I had Jack in the Pack and Play bassinet for the first two weeks and was in his crib after that.

my daughter hated the bassinett, so this time we are not using it...right to the crib

My girlfriend put her ids in their crib from day 1 and they were and currently are the BEST sleepers, sleep by 8pm and sometimes sleep through til 9am or 10am  . Isn't that great, her ped says it was because she started them with a good sleep routine right from the beginning.

We didnt have ROOM for a bassinet, so we started him in the crib from day 1... I guess I should say NIGHT one..lol.. when we were at my MILs or at my parents, we had a moses basket and a bassinet there, and I loved them, but we truly didnt have room at our place.
Oh.. and my son is an AWESOME sleeper!

Not me - We borrowed one. I think going straight to a crib makes more sense. You just have to deal with getting up and walking to get the baby in the middle of the night. That's really the only reason I wanted a bassinet.

Talia has been in her crib since day #1. She was a great sleeper starting at 5.5 weeks - she has regressed a bit these past few weeks but I am working on getting her back on track now.

We're not planning on using a bnassinet but we are going to use the pack and play (top part of it) in our room when we first bring her home, then she'll go in her crib.

We did and he has been a great sleeper since day 1! Our bedroom is big enough so that we keep the crib in there, so I don't have to worry about him being in another room.
