Sweeney Todd movie
I got it today from Netflix. DH thought I would like it cause its a musical, lol.
Anyone see it? Is it worth 2 hours of my life to watch Johnny Depp singing? Or dont waste my time?

It's a little weird as well as a little gory. But the weirdo side of me really enjoyed it and thought that parts were funny.

How much do you love Sweeney Todd the musical?
I love all of the above and I liked it. I liked the stylization of it, and it's very funny and I love Sweeney. I also love Johnny Depp. I was disapointed in some things because I loved the musical on Broadway so much (they don't sing the Ballad of Sweeney Todd!!!!  )
It's VERY gory.
ETA: It's not your typical musical. I mean first of all it's Sondheim, second of all it's Sweeney Todd.
It's about a barber who kills people and bakes them into pies. I'm not kidding.

DW and I both loved it. I was also disappointed about the lack of the Ballad of Sweeney Todd, but they got most of the musical into the movie. It was very dark (literally and figuratively), but I love that kind of movie, and Depp is really good at those kinds of bizarre characters.
Two thumbs up from me...
