They have changed the way that its done so I went for it !! With DD#1 it come back a false positive and I had an amnio done , mind you I was only 19 at the time but that was just the blood test now they do the blood test and a sono so its a liitle more accurate but Im sure still wrong a percentage of the time. Do what you feel comfortable with
As far as I know, the AFP is still just a blood test, there is no sono involved.
My dr. did it with a sono, I think they call it an AFP quad screen and it has a less false positive result I believe.

I didnt do it with #2 but I did do the NT screen.

No, not with either pregnancy
I also felt "forced" into having it done, but more than once I said no for it. They even went to make me an appoinment for it and I said no.
It was kinda pushy, but we knew we weren't doing it

I was not offered the quad screen, just the AFP blood test. I have made my decision and want to thank you all for your opinions.
