Police Escort on SS Parkway?
Yesterday someone had a Police Escort from the Belt all the way to SS Parkway- they got off at 110.
There were Helicopters and Cops in each lane.
Does anyone know who it was?
ETA:
Just read on Newsday is was for a Sag Harbor Marine who lost his life in Iraq.

We passed a bunch of police and fire trucks yesterday on the LIE it was east of 110. I wonder if it was the hero marine

My mom waited on Sag Harbor Main Street until he made his way through.
I get tears every time I think of him.

They left Delaware in the morning and got out east after 12. Trooper/FD salutes as they made their way on the island.
We had the flag up w fire trucks as it passed.
Truly, truly sad.
