Comparing Hybrid trucks
Chevy Tahoe Hybrid - 22.5 MPG $53,295 base price
Lexus RX400h - 27 MPG - $41,300.
For real? Is it me or is this odd....

Re: Comparing Hybrid trucks
that is a bit insane in price difference but big difference in size of car
i loved my 400H - sad to not have it anymore but i don't need a car

You'd have to compare capabilities but I would think that the Tahoe is a much more capable vehicle i.e. towing, power, etc. ITA. but I can guarantee you if I get the Lexus I am not towing anything with it

but the 0-60 is probably much better on the lexus and much more useful on Long island with all the short entrance ramps
the lexus hybrid actually has more horsepower than the non-hybrid lexus- it has great pickup off the line which comes in handy on short entrance ramps - the 0-60 is where the escape falls short

IMO, neither one has decent MPG for a hybrid

totally agree- my SUV gets 22 and it's NOT a hybrid and it's much bigger then the lexus- not as big as a tahoe

It's not. I am actually not considering either truck. I was just doing a search on the MPG of all the 2008 trucks and saw these compared.
I am actually looking at a Patriot, Nitro or a Liberty.
