Wear the sneakers, if one of the actors stops and points you out. Take them off QUICKLY and throw them in the street, or in the handbag of a tourist.

i'm going to a 7pm broadway show tomorrow night. i don't know what to wear because we're walking to the show from penn station (about 20 minutes).
I just noticed this. I would not walk that far. I would strongly advise for a cab.
the walking isn't a problem--i try to walk at least half an hour every day, so the distance won't be a problem. i like to try to keep active and it's only a moderate pace--nothing strenuous! 
thanks everyone for your advice. i think i will just wear sneakers with khakis maybe. i don't have a big enough bag to bring with me to bring a change of shoes because i either have my regular pocketbook or a giant overnight bag--nothing in between!
i'll just wear one of the shirts that makes me look REALLY pregnant so people will take pity on me. 
oh, i'm seeing wicked.
