Re: Those of you that work full time

I get 12 weeks FMLA. 6 or 8 of those are paid through STD at 50% of my pay. Then I can use any left over accrued vacation/personal/sick time at the end of my STD pay. But I just found out that I have to use 7 of my vac/pers/sick days BEFORE my STD pay kicks in. Chat Icon

Re: Those of you that work full time

I get 90 days after the birth at full pay. I feel very lucky!
I'll tack on some vacation time so I can be out with meatball as long as possible.

Re: Those of you that work full time

I will be leaving my company 3 months before the baby comes, taking the summer off and then I won't be returing after. I do have an AFLAC policy which will pay be 6 or 8 weeks at a percentage of my salary. Thats it

Re: Those of you that work full time

I have 6 weeks maternity leave. After that I have the option of taking up to 9 months off FMLA while my benefits will be covered that 9 months.

I plan on taking 12 weeks off, maybe more...

Re: Those of you that work full time

I will get paid 6 weeks through STD. Then I can take an additional 6 weeks unpaid (FMLA) and another 6 weeks (Parental leave) for a max of 18 weeks. I will probably take about 16 weeks off but I haven't 100% decided yet.

Re: Those of you that work full time

Such a complicated Question!!

I'll be out almost 4 months

6-8 weeks Disability (70% pay plus NYS)
2 Weeks Sick Leave (full pay)
3 weeks Vacation (full pay)
4 weeks "Bonding time" (full pay)
That's 15-18 weeks
Not including Personal Days I can use (full pay)

Not counting the NUMEROUS holidays I get paid anyway that I'll be out and they DONT count against me: Thanksgiving and Thanks-Friday, Xmas and Xmas eve

So 15 weeks = 75 days

75 days if I take off on my Due Date of Sept 8 is to Dec 26th!!!!

Then I am working remotely from our Melville office for a month. (hopefully) So I come back to NYC in Feb 2009

Better yet.. since I come back to 'work' so close to the new year, I get a full 3 weeks paid vacation again!!

Still I get Halloween, Thanksgiving and Xmas home with my little one.. how cool is that!!?!?!?! Chat Icon

I will be out a minimum of 12 weeks. I get 12 weeks under FMLA. 6 weeks paid at 100%. When the 12 weeks are up I may use some of my paid vacation time (I have four weeks left for the year). Or I may go back and take a week of vacation each month (Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec).

Re: Those of you that work full time

Work is allowing me to take off "as much time as I want". Although I am sure there is a hidden stipulation in there somewhere.

They've offered to pay me 8 weeks full salary as long as I commit to coming back full time.

Not sure what I'm gonna do yet.

Edited to add I have 4 weeks vaca saved on top of all that which I will take as well.
