How pregnant were you....
when you felt comfortable to buy yourself maternity stuff and then stuff for your new baby. I am so nervous to buy anything for myself, I guess because I am still having trouble believing this finally happened!

Re: How pregnant were you....
I still second guess myself before buying anything (at 20 weeks). For instance, if I have a doctor's appt coming up and I need something (maternity), I always wait until after the appt. I am a nervous nellie but it got better after about 16 weeks. I still hesistate though, I think it's partially normal.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I didn't buy maternity clothes until the 18th week. I didn't need them until then though, if I did need them I would have bought them earlier.
I haven't bought anything yet for the baby.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I feel like you did! I need shirts but I tell myself I will get tunic or babydoll ones until I am at least 12 weeks. I hate doing that to myself, but I am so nervous. Maybe after my ultrascreen I will feel a bit more relaxed.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I didn't buy any maternity clothes until after my 12-week ultrascreen. We still haven't bought anything for the baby at 16 weeks. But that is mostly because we are waiting to find out the gender before we do.

I had to when nothing fit anymore! I was around 12 weeks when I started wearing maternity clothes.
As for stuff for the baby, MIL bought me stuff at 5 weeks. I was hesitant to buy stuff myself, but am finally going to soon. I am now 23 weeks

Re: How pregnant were you....
So far I only bought 1 outfit for the baby (I was about 24 weeks) and I bought his bedding at 22 weeks.
ETA: I didn't need to buy maternity stuff for a while because my mom decided to go on a shopping spree. I think I bought my first maternity clothing at 18 weeks.

I had to buy and entirely new wardrobe on Friday...including new undergarments. I was 12 weeks. I did buy my first pair of maternity pants at around 9 weeks.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I started buying maternity pants around 12-13 weeks and some shirts just recently. As far as things for the baby, I've been buying things here and there since I was 23 since this is all I've ever wanted in my life!!! (I'm 33 now so imagine........10 years of picking baby things up here and there when I saw something cute!!) I can't wait!!

I didnt register until I was 23 weeks and didnt buy the furniture until 27 weeks although we are not having the furniture delivered till I have the babies. We are still a little superstitious.

Re: How pregnant were you....
Um, I've already started buying maternity clothes, and I am only 6 weeks...
But it's more out of necessity, because I am plus-size, and I figure that on the rare occasion I do find something cute, I have to snatch it up rather quickly.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I haven't bought maternity clothes yet but when I need them I will (I'm 16 weeks)
After 20 weeks I'll start picking up stuff for the baby. I've been receiving gifts for the baby since I told everyone I was pregnant. Those presents are still in the bags they came in, I've been hesitant about hanging them, I'm still a little uncomfortable about getting the nursery ready just yet.

Re: How pregnant were you....
I'm almost 9 weeks and have been wearing maternity for almost a week now. None of my pants fit and my shirts looked ridiculous with pants unbottoned or my maternity pants so I went and bought a whole new wardrobe on Saturday.
Why be uncomfortable?

Re: How pregnant were you....
I started buying maternity clothes when I need things that fit! I figured, if they would only be worn for a limited time, I might as well get as much use out of them as I could.
I bought very few things for the baby, but did so after my Ultrascreen. I had my shower over a week ago and now I have a new anxiety...taking the tags off!

Re: How pregnant were you....
oh I had no hesitation buying preggo pants... I started wearing them at about 9 weeks....
I DID hesitate to tell people and buy anything for Crouton, though. I just began buying stuff at about 13 weeks (after the ultrascreen results). Now I pick up little stuff almost every week
latest acquisition: organic cotton stuffed vegetables for Crouton for teething... awwww Image Attachment(s):
