First my CM is hostile, and now my ovaries are spastic
Just got back from my RE appointment. And the reason why AF is 5 days late, and I'm not pregnant is because those dysfunctional follies that resulted from the Clomid turned into 2 cysts, one of which she thinks is producing hormones, and is fairly large.
So, we wait more. Next week if the cyst isn't diminishing in size, back on the pill I go. If it diminishes some, we wait for AF to arrive.
Next cycle she's doubling the dose of Clomid, and if it backfires again, no more Clomid for me, straight onto Injectables.
The good news is this will push forward the next IUI so much so that I won't have to worry about doing it while MIL is in town!
My RE said there's less than a 1% chance this would happen with someone who normally ovulates without issue. She said it might be a case of occult PCOS, brought on by the Clomid only
Whatever it is, she said she's never seen this happen and is fascinated by it. Yay for me for being an anomaly of nature!

Oh gosh Beth....I'm so sorry the clomid caused you so many problems. But I have to say....you always seem so positive and upbeat regardless of the issue at hand.....and thats awesome!! I love reading your posts....well not the bad ones of course. What I'm saying is your attitude and "upbeatness" is refreshing. Hope this makes sense
Good luck next IUI and much to you!!!!

What's most bizarre in all of this is my RE just called and the bloodwork is showing that somehow, in the middle of this crazy whackiness, I DID, indeed ovulate, making this that much more of a medical mystery.
She's threatening to use me for her next medical journal article I told her I'd rather have a baby
And my friends are telling me, that, with my luck, I should start playing the lottery

First off I am sorry you are going through this. Cysts can def. mess up your cycle. I hope that the higher dose of Clomid does the trick. This whole journey is so unpredictable, I hate it!

Maybe you just had a wacky cycle and it had nothing to do with the clomid. Hopefully next time will do the trick!
I had a cyst this cycle too when I went on CD3, it was HUGE and it was making hormones. I went back on CD10 and it was much smaller.
Good luck on your next cycle!
