Re: Doggy GTG?
I love the idea. Denver is scared of big dogs though so it would have to be at a place where I can separate him from the big guys, if possible.

Re: Doggy GTG?
That sounds like it could be fun! I'd love to meet everyone and their fur babies.
Arnold's never really been around other dogs so I'm not sure how he would do but I'd be willing to try.

Re: Doggy GTG?
see the thing is i only know of city dog runs.
i know of several with small dogs & big dogs that are separated by a fence.
but its kind of hard to get everyone to the city. i'd be inclined to go to LI now that i finally have a decent car but i dont know of any with separation.

I have no problem going to NYC, but some with bigger dogs might have issue with it. I have no idea which runs on LI keep the small ones separate. .....

Blydenburgh does - it's in Smithtown, so that may be too far for NYC peeps

I would be into it - Lilly is fragile, though, she needs small dogs to romp around with. (skinny little Iggy bones)
Let's try to pull something together!

Blydenburgh in Smithtown has small dog and big doggie park. All separated.

Re: Doggy GTG?
I don't think Cedar Creek park has a big dog/small dog pen. I know for a fact that Wantagh Park has two runs as well as West Hills. The runs at West Hills are in two completely different areas though. The runs at Wantagh Park are right next to each other and it would probably be more convenient for most to go there. It's just west of the Wantagh Parkway on Merrick Road.

Re: Doggy GTG?
Oscar usually pulls me toward the big dogs, so I don't need separation. I guess it's better if we have the choice, though.

Oscar thinks he's a big dog, Kasey thinks she's a little dog!! K9 identity issues!!!!!!

Let's try to pull something together!
If it's not too far I'll come and she can play with Katie.
ETA: Maybe I'll bring Annie too. They are both about 16 lbs.

Re: Doggy GTG?
my dogs are used to a mixed dog run of big & small dogs so it doesnt matter to me, BUT a run that has a separation may be good. as long as it is only separated by fence so that it doesnt split all of us up! (some dog parks have a big dog and a small dog run on either sides of the park)
i am sooooooo not familiar with any of the parks mentioned but will definatly love to go. somewhere central would be best.
i am guessing nassau????????
lets decide on a place first and then a date.
any more suggestions??? we can eventually make a poll.

Did you girls decide on a date yet? I would love to meet up!
My puppy likes to play with both the big boys and the little ones. He is in between sizes right now.
