My leopard gecko just shed and is turning orange!....with a pic!
I am so psyched. I got him over a year ago from a breeder. He told me that it looked like he might become a rarer colour of orange, and that it was almost like getting an albino. After a year and about 20 sheds, he is turning orange  He looks so cool, I will try to take pics later (hard, b/c he hides right after a shed...)
*******OK it is hard to tell b/c he is camouflaged with the sand, but here he is! Image Attachment(s):

Not really. They need to have their temperature regulated from below the ground cover and from above (ie artificial sunlight). We have 2 bulbs, one for colour that is a full spectrum light and a red bulb for nighttime. They eat once a month or so, but this time of year we feed them smaller portions weekly. They can live to 10 + years.

Yep! There is a reptile specialist near me. He has a conservation license, and breeds (conservatively) all sorts of snakes, lizards, arachnids, etc.
He is very knowledgeable & very selective about what he sells and to whom. He also offers lifelong education and support.

That is so cool
I have tons of Gecko's running around outside near my house and work. I think they are Brown Anole gecko's. Though I've seen some green ones.

Mel I used to love waking up at my grandfather's house & going outside to have coffee. When I opened the door they would scatter...it was so cool. He lived in Jupiter right on the canal. Anoles & frogs in the front yard & alligators in the back
