can dogs get conjuctivitis?
My fathers dog, puggle, has had alot of goop coming out of his one eye. Its not crusty just really goopie and also when i move the eyelid too look at its red in the white part. The other eye is fine.
Last summer he was very itchy so we do think he has allergies.

Dogs can get conjunctivitis. And it is contagous. I would take him to the vet. THey can give you drops if thats what it is.

Re: can dogs get conjuctivitis?
Yes. If the goop is tinged green or yellow, it is most likely an infection. If you wipe away the goop and it comes back within a few hours, that is a sign of an infection. If the pink tissue is swollen, also a sign of an infection. If he has these signs, he needs to go to the vet or it could become severe conjunctivitis. The vet will prescribe ointment for the infected eye. And no matter what don't wipe the infected eye and then the other eye, or you will spread it!
Good luck
