can you have a baby shower in the evening?
While shopping around locations for a baby shower - my mom found that the prices at night are pretty close to brunch prices. It seems like you get more bang for the 'ol buck at night.
If I wanted a jack and jill shower - is there anything "off" about an evening shower? (probably skipping the present thing in favor of more mingling...)
Please be honest

I had a co-ed evening cocktail party. It was well received by everyone.

Re: can you have a baby shower in the evening?
I went to one a few weeks ago and all the girls who sat at our table thought it was a great idea to have the shower at night. First, the mom-to-be was very surprised because she thought she was simply going to dinner with her hubby. Second, it was more convenient for a lot of us girls because we could get sitters more easily for a couple of hours in an evening and not spend an entire afternoon for the shower. HTH. On the other hand, the venue they chose also had a sweet 16 going on next door so that was weird.

I don't see anything "off" about it. I think it's a great idea.

Re: can you have a baby shower in the evening?
My sil had a night time shower, it was awesome. It turned into a big party, it was co-ed and they hired a dj, had a ton of food..much more fun than the avg afternoon of watching someone open presents for hours

Of course you can. Its all about what your preference is. My friend is having her's next Saturday night from 7-11pm. They rented a hall.
