My Space-OMG!
Ok,
I do not have a my space account, but I was looking up someone and I was completely upset by the amount of teenage girls on here with horrible things in their profiles. I looked at sites of some teenage girls and I am so upset! And I couldnt believe my eyes. Is it me, or is it trendy to drink, do drugs have sex and write every detail about it? I couldn't believe the profile pics of some of these young teens and what they are doing and writing? Am I freaking out for nothing...
I have an 18 year old sister, and I cannot believe how much times have changed since I was 18. Someone needs to calm me down, because this is making me not want to have children! I know I am super sensitive, but as a teacher I totally worry about teens today!

I totally cannot handle it. My sister's site was not horrible, but I am not pleased....
However, when I kept browsing other sites I felt like calling all of these girls parents and shout WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!

it's not even that they're sluts- its that they're wanna-be sluts, and thats even more sad.... and Scary. there's Alot of adult men on that site, and i dont think that *all* of them are really there to rekindle old friendships  But seriously, thats why people need to monitor their kids and what they're doing on the computer. Its sad, but these days, even if you do have your kids at home behind closed doors, you STILL have to keep a close watch on them

Yeah, I want to faint when I see my 14 y/o sister's sometimes 
I'm just happy that it at least tells me that she doesn't smoke or do drugs...
A few of her friends do though...
One of my brother's friends had a profile pic of her in that victoria's secret bra and that little santa skirt they were advertising.
she's 16! It was a pedofile's fantasy.

See, this is what I am freaking out about. This should not be allowed...
I understand free speech, but these girls are setting themselves up for horrible things to happen to them. Worse of all, they think it is cool and something to be proud of. I really don't think parents know what goes on...

It is so bad. Many of my students belong to that site...which is the main reason why I will NEVER post on ther. Im terrified for my "girl" students. I have told them NEVER post your # or where you really live, because they display themselves in a way that will get them into some serious trouble.
