Is there something wrong with me?
why do these people continue to have all these children if they cannot supply their little ones with a $10 net to protect them? 
I just don't get it. These poor babies are suffering and the adults keep reproducing.

OK, but they did not say she has foster children or anything that implied that and even so, someone is continuing to have all these children that cannot be taken care of.

I am not specifically talking about her just the population in general. I know everyone should have the right to procreate and experience having children BUT when you cannot feed them or keep them clean and healthy, how could you even want to have them? I suppose if it is all you know then it is the norm which is even more sad.

I was going to say the same thing and don't forget that in some cultures and religions birth control is frowned upon tremendously and is also not an option. That is why STD's are very rampant in a lot of these 3rd world countries.

exactly, we shuldn;t pass judgement, there may be decisions that each of us make that are not valued by others, but you need to know the entire story

I don't believe contraceptives are as readily accessible to them as they are to us. There may also be cultural and/or religious beliefs contributing as well.
Either way, my heart breaks for them.

I think it's just mostly based on ignorance and lack of education. DH commented on the same thing about some with little/many children on the show, despite no homes or money.

I think the actual charity was called Malaria No More, I'm not sure if they are related, but it is the same basic concept.
It was a fundraiser show, and they focused on a few different charities & areas in need in Africa & the US.

That is very true. When I got birth control perscription from my doctor, she was surprised that (1) I was openly on birth control to my mother and my boyfriend (now DH) and (2) that i lived with my boyfriend (now DH) and my mom knew. She told me she has to sneak persciptions to some of her patients so their SO/parents don't find out. And this is on the upper west side of Manhattan!!!

I dont believe she is passing judgement at all!!! She just asked a question about why these people continue to have all these kids when they clearly dont have the means to support them.
I agree with you though- you need to know the entire story to truly understand why. You never know the situation in each culture.
