Why cant we have turkey? I forgot
My doctor told me no cold cuts but I cant remember why. I am dying for a turkey sandwhich

There is a risk of getting listeria(I think that is what it is called). I still get it but I just make sure to go to reputable places that have a quick turn out.

Oh, I am dying for a Virginia Ham and American Cheese on rye with Mayo. I haven't eaten it in years, but for some reason I could kill for one right now.

Listeria. Heat it up until steaming - that will kill any bacteria. Then you can eat it.

I havent had cold cuts in so long. Last time I had a sandwich I wound up loosing it within 3 minutes. Baby doesnt like cold cuts too much. 
Any cold cuts you do have definately heat it up

Yup!! Just as the others said, there is a bacteria called Listeria that can be found in cold cuts and soft cheeses.
If you heat it up you will kill any bacteria and it will be safe to eat.
Some docs also say the packaged cold cuts are ok too.
I just decided to stay away from them completely.

Stupid question, do you have to eat the cold cuts hot once they are heated or can you let them cool down again to eat them? I just think the sound of warm deli meat isn't too appealing.

I never heat them up. If you to a reputable deli, you should be fine!!

I eat cold cuts all the time and I always heat them. I will either have turkey and cheese or ham and cheese melted or I'll heat them and then let them cool off.

i dont heat up my cold cuts like i did with my first pregnancy. I just go to reputable places that have a lot of business b/c i know the meats are always fresh. but if you are nervous just heat them up really good. DH used to make me sandwiches and heat up the turkey in my last pregnancy b/c he was more worried that I was.

You have to eat them once they are heated. My doctor said if it sits too long that I need to throw it in the micro again.
